Haptics is the science of applying touch sensation and control for interaction with virtual or physical applications. In combination with a visual display, haptics technology can be used to train people for tasks requiring hand-eye coordination, such as Robotic Tele Surgery and Space-ship maneuvering. It can also be used for games in which you feel as well as see your interactions with images.
The Dextrous Hand (from the NASA’s collection of Humanoids) has haptic sensors embedded in every joint and in every finger pad which relay information to a central computer for processing and analysis. In this workshop we train the students to control a Robotic Arm using Haptics Technology (Haptic Glove).
- Robot is the greatest creation of the engineering field ever made.
- Every part of the engineering discipline is familiar about the word “Robot”.
- It may be easy to say that the basic works of humans will be done by Robots in near future.
- Everyone in engineering field has a basic knowledge about the “Robots” but they have no practical knowledge.
- We the students of mechanical department of ‘Pragati engineering college’ have this practical approach by conducting robotic workshop along with Technophilia group.
- Technophilia group is Noida based and it has collaboration with IIT Kanpur.
- This workshop aims to provide a technical platform for the young binding minds so as to smoothen their technical journey in the field of “Robotics”.
- This event helps the participants to exchange hands on ideas on robots practically also.
- Technophilia would give a live free demo presentation of the different technology our R & D Team is working on.
WHAT WOULD YOU GAIN ATTENDING THE WORKSHOP?
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Basic electronic components.
- Working principles.
- Basics of robotics.
- Mechanisms behind the robots.
COURSE DURATION:
The workshop is conducted on 2 consecutive days with a session of 8 hrs each. So, a total of 16hrs are properly divided into theory and hands on session.
