Shortlisted participants A National Level Technical Paper Presentation Contest
Afisa Paper presentation invites technical student papers in various areas of computer science. We invite novel ideas that propose ways to solve open problems in computer science.
ROUND-1
In Round 1 each team is supposed to register for the event and submit the abstract of their paper.
Teams have to download registration form and mail the filled in form to dc.strides@pragati.ac.inon or before

All the teams selected for Round-2 will be informed by email and the list will also be displayed in the event website on 29.12.2010
Rules
- A team can have a maximum of two authors (participants) only
- The authors can be from different institutes and different disciplines
- Only UG and PG students are allowed to participate
- The Round-1 entry (i.e. abstract) should not exceed 300 words
- Authors are responsible for any copyrighted information that is present in their Round-1 entry
- The subject of email must be "Afisa_R1_Entry"
- Late submissions will not be entertained
- All the selected teams have to confirm their presence in Round-2 (for more details scroll down)
Judging Criteria
-
60% technical content
- 20% innovation
- 20% relevance to above topics
ROUND-2
All the Round-2 selected teams are supposed to confirm their participation by filling a Round-2 confirmation form
(Download of confirmation form will be available here from 29.12.2010)
The confirmation mail should be sent back to dc.strides@pragati.ac.in before 02.01.2011
Full length paper is also to be attached to the confirmation mail
Registration fee is Rs.150/- per Participant
If any team is failed to submit their Round-2 entry along with confirmation before 31.12.2010 12:00 PM [IST], teams in waiting list are called for Round-2
Final Round will be held at Pragati Engineering Colege campus on 09.01.2011
Each team is supposed to present their paper before a judging panel
Rules
-
The Round-2 entry (full length paper) should be a word document or PDF file
- All entries (papers) must be in IEEE format (for sample format click here)
- No concession will be given in regstation fee
- On the day of presentation the team should be present at the venue by 9:15 AM for registration
- Each team should bring 2 hard copies of their full length paper,a hardcopy of their confirmation form, a softcopy of their presentation (in CDs only) and should pay registration fee to complete the registration process
- Only registred teams are aloowed to participate in the Final Round of Afisa
- Each team will be given 8 minutes presentaton time followed by 2 minutes query session
- Participants are provided with a projector and a computer loaded with Microsoft Power Point 2007, Adobe Flash Player 10 and Adobe Acrobat Reader 9
Judging Criteria
- 30% Technical content in the paper
- 40% Quality of presentation
- 15% Realworld adaptability
- 15% Answerability to queries
Prizess

1st Prize --> INR 3,000/-
- 2nd prize --> INR 2,000/-
